Treatment process

At the clinic, specialists determine the nature of the chest pain and set an indication for possible invasive diagnostics, e.g. coronary angiography with the insertion of supports - stents, or for referral to surgery on the heart vessels or valves. They also accurately determine any rhythm disorders and advise on either therapy or invasive treatment. In the case of problems with blood pressure, they describe the cause of its occurrence and give detailed instructions for therapy.

Ultrasound examination of the heart - echocardiography

Performing an ultrasound examination of the heart with a colour Doppler examination, we determine and measure the size of the heart cavities and the movement and thickness of the heart walls, and assess the condition of the heart valves, any congenital and acquired heart defects, the condition of the pericardium, the width of the aorta, and the thickness of its walls. Using modern Doppler methods, echocardiography can accurately determine the functional state of the heart.

What is stress testing?

Stress testing can be performed on a bicycle while following certain protocols. The initial short warm-up is followed by a gradual increase in difficulty. This is achieved by increasing the speed and incline of the treadmill or the load (resistance) of the bicycle wheel.

Preparation for the examination: No preparation is required. We recommend comfortable shoes and clothing.

What can you expect during the examination?

The physical stress test lasts a total of 6 to 12 minutes, followed by a shorter cool-down period (usually up to 6 minutes). We load the test subject with a predetermined level of physical stress, depending on gender, age, height, and body weight. Throughout the stress test, we observe their well-being, record ECG readings, measure heart rate and, in short time intervals, also blood pressure.
