As Slovenia’s largest tourism company, and the creator of the best and most diverse tourism experiences, we at Sava Hotels & Resorts have been providing excellent services and innovative products at all our destinations for decades. These destinations are linked by a variety of experiences and unique healing thermal and mineral waters, stretching from the mighty but accessible Julian Alps, to the fertile, magical, mysterious plains of Prekmurje, to the idyllic Slovenian coast. For us, the many awards we have received for our products and employees in recent years represent a responsibility for the future, and a promise to continue to follow two key guidelines: caring for the well-being and health of our guests, and making visitors enthusiastic about our products.
Droplets donated by our Ambassadors made holidays possible for 21 families
Sava Hotels & Resorts
Our Ambassadors – the members of our loyalty programme – donated a record number of Droplets this year, enabling us to take a whopping 21 families on free holidays. We accommodated 10 families during the summer months, then selected the remaining 11 from families badly affected by the recent floods.
Recognitions and awards at the 70th Hospitality and Tourism Assembly

At this year's momentous 70th annual Hospitality and Tourism Assembly, which took place in Nova Gorica from 13 through 15 November 2023, awards were given to the most engaged employees in tourism, as well as to companies in recognition of their new investments, their business anniversaries, and their partnership cooperation with service providers. Many of our colleagues were among the recipients of the tourism employee awards in the catering, hotel, and tourism industries. Among many others, Mojca Krašovec, executive director of Sava Hotels Bled, was awarded as a deserving individual for her outstanding contribution to the development of Slovenian tourism. And the award for important anniversary and jubilee went to our one and only Original Bled Cream Cake for its 70th anniversary.

Restaurant Juliana, at Grand Hotel Toplice, has just received an award from the most prestigious gastronomic guide, the Michelin Guide, for the fourth year in a row. After receiving Michelin Plate awards in 2020 and 2021, and the "Recommended by Michelin Guide Slovenia 2022" award, we are once again among the proud laureates of this year's “Recommended by Michelin Guide Slovenia 2023” award.
We provided a better holiday experience for 100 children

We worked with the Ljubljana Moste-Polje Association of Friends of Youth once again this year to make it possible for disadvantaged children and families to have beautiful holidays. We hosted two busloads of children at the Terme 3000 and Terme Ptuj water parks, and enabled 10 families to have unforgettable holidays. We carry out the campaign at the level of Sava Hotels & Resorts and in collaboration with ZPM Ljubljana Moste as part of our social responsibility activities.
The ACSI award for the best Slovenian campsite goes to Camping Bled (Sava Hotels Bled)

Camping Bled received the prestigious ACSI award (the Dutch company ASCI is a leading European camping expert, which has been publishing well-known green guides to European campsites with important camping information since 1965, and runs the most visited campsite in Europe) for the best Slovenian campsite of the year 2022. The idyllic campsite on the shores of Lake Bled received more than 51,000 votes from the Dutch, and the team at Camping Bled is understandably very proud of their award.

As part of this year's Best Swimming Pool Complex selection campaign, bathers and Radio Slovenia listeners have chosen the best swimming complexes in Slovenia for 34 years in a row. We are proud that Thermal Park Terme 3000 was once again ranked second in the large thermal swimming pool complexes category.
Donations for helping flood victims

In September, we donated EUR 4,900.00 to the Ljubljana Moste-Polje Association of Friends of Youth to help families affected by the floods. We also gave donations to 17 volunteer fire brigades in the vicinity of our resorts; brigades who always come to our aid whenever we need them. We also financially supported all our employees who suffered damages in this year's summer floods and natural disasters.
Gold award for the Prekmurje layer cake in Terme 3000

At the 13th iteration of the Prekmurje layer cake and ham festival in Murska Sobota, the artisan confectioners of Terme 3000 - Moravske Toplice earned a gold award for their traditional gibanica layer cake for the third year in a row.
The Blue flag award for five of our natural bathing sites

This year, Slovenia held its 28th annual tender for the Blue Flag award, which has the goal of increasing environmental awareness at bathing sites, (co)developing environmental ethics, and promoting environmentally responsible behaviour. The International Blue Flag Commission, at the proposal of the National Blue Flag Commission, approved 15 Blue Flags for 2022 in Slovenia. And five of those were at our very own natural bathing sites, namely: the Salinera Strunjan natural bathing site (15th Blue flag award), the Grand Hotel Bernardin beach natural bathing site (10th Blue flag award), the Hotel Vile Park beach natural bathing site (10th Blue flag award), the Camping Lucija natural bathing site (9th Blue flag award), the Simon’s Bay beach Izola natural bathing site (22nd Blue flag award).
Caravan and Motorhome Club of Great Britain award for Camping Bled

Camping Bled won an award, namely second place in "The Welcome Award” category, awarded by the Caravan and Motorhome club of Great Britain. The Caravan and Motorhome club is an organisation bringing together British camping enthusiasts. The club was founded in 1907, has a million members and gives out yearly awards to the best campsites based on club members’ votes.

At the Meeting Star 2022 Awards for the best meeting destinations, hotels and influential meeting professionals. Hotel Livada Prestige in Terme 3000 was placed in the Spa Meeting Hotels category of the Meeting Star 2022 Awards and was awarded the Meeting Star 2022/2023 Gold Certificate with a score of 4.74. Mojca Gobina Mravlje, head of the meetings department on the coast in the sales division of Sava Hotels & Resorts, was also listed in the Most Influential People of New Europe selection with a total score of 4.43.

V septembru sta naša Hotel Park in Rikli Balance Hotel na Bledu postala ponosna prejemnika certifikata Bled Local Selection v kategoriji namestitev. Projekt Bled Local Selection je projekt, ki je od leta 2018 do danes zrasel v proces, v katerem je danes 43 ponudnikov in 190 izdelkov v različnih kategorijah.

Camping Bled
Camping Bled je prejel prestižno nagrado ACSI (nizozemsko podjetje je vodilni evropski strokovnjak za kampiranje, ki že od leta 1965 objavlja znane zelene vodnike po evropskih kampih s pomembnimi informacijami o kampiranju in ureja najbolj obiskano spletno mesto kampov v Evropi) za najboljši slovenski kamp v letu 2022.

Ponosni smo, da so v kategoriji velikih termalnih kopališč Termalni vodni park Terme 3000 ponovno umestili na drugo mesto.

Based on the obtained international sustainability symbol and the Green Key certificate, Cafe Park also received the Slovenia Green Cuisine symbol as part of the Green Scheme of Slovenian tourism. At the same time, we signed the Commitment to Sustainable Gastronomy in Slovenia, which consists of seven sustainability principles.

The organisers of the Smells of Prekmurje project awarded the Prekmurje layer cake from Terme 3000 – Moravske Toplice the gold award at the 11th Prekmurje Ham and Gibanica Festival, which took place in Murska Sobota.

The Juliana restaurant, which can be found at Grand Hotel Toplice and has a beautiful terrace by the most beautiful part of Lake Bled, boasts a new prestigious award after receiving 3 chef’s hats according to the Gault&Millau rating and The Michelin Plate 2020 award. The Michelin inspectors decided to award it with ‘The Michelin Plate’ award in 2021 – for fresh ingredients carefully prepared, and a good meal.

As part of the Days of Slovenian Tourism 2021 event in Postojna, awards were presented to all the winners of the 30th annual My Country – Beautiful and Hospitable competition, which was held under the honorary patronage of the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor. Camping Bled received two awards, namely the My Country recognition for the best campsite, as chosen by the Tourist Association of Slovenia, and the same title was also bestowed on it by the people’s choice selection.Since the autumn of 2021, the recently renovated Hotel Histrion boasts the international sustainability symbol and Green Key certificate. In 2019, our swimming pool complexes were again among the best in the “Best Swimming Pool Complex 2019” competition. In the small thermal baths category, bathers awarded Health Resort Zdravilišče Radenci 1st place, while Terme 3000 – Moravske Toplice came 2nd among the best large thermal baths.

Vakantiebeurs Fair – Best European Campsite
Camping Bled
Camping Bled was voted the second best campsite in Europe in the countryside campsites category at the Vakantiebeurs tourism fair in Utrecht. The award is presented by The Caravan Club and Alan Rogers, the largest camping associations in the UK and Benelux, who also publish their own camping guide.

At the Days of Slovenian Tourism event, the renovated Rikli Balance Hotel (Sava Hotels Bled) and the renovated indoor thermal bath with its Prekmurje bridge at Terme 3000 – Moravske Toplice both received high recognition for our investments, the diversity of what we offer, and the improvement in the quality of services, as well as the creation of innovative tourist products.

Camping Bled won the award for the best camping experience of the year 2018 in the Nature category at the Caravana Fair in Leeuwarden, the Netherlands. The award is presented by Campingnavigator, the leading camping and caravanning publishing company in the Dutch market.
