Original Bled cream cakes are made in the Hotel Park cake shop, but you can try them in all the Sava Hotels Bled bars, cafes, restaurants and hotels. We remain true to the original 1953 recipe. We use ingredients: eggs, flour, cream, sugar and butter. The Original Bled cream cake contains no colorants, preservatives or other additives, which is why we make them fresh every day.

Making cream cakes under the sign of 7

Only the finest fresh and original ingredients are used to make the Original Bled cream cakes: fresh eggs, flour, cream, milk, sugar and butter. It is particularly important to use fresh eggs, as they make the cream delicious and light – the kind that melts in your mouth. Cut into slices measuring 7 x 7 cm, original Bled cream cakes are freshly made every day. No industrial preparations are used. Our pastry chefs make them entirely by hand – a true rarity in the modern world.

Since the very first one in 1953, over 16 million Original Bled cream cakes have been made to this day, using over 140 tons of flour, 9 million eggs, and 1.7 million litres of milk. If the 16 million cream cakes were arranged in a row, they would reach 1,120 km, or all the way from Bled to Athens. If they were stacked one on top of another around Lake Bled, the resulting wall would be 13 metres high.
