Culinary stories of Cafe Park

Home of the Original Bled cream cake

This is the only place where you can find the authentic, original Bled cream cake, made by the Hotel Park pastry chefs since 1953. Since then, we have made almost 16 million Original Bled cream cakes! We use only authentic, fresh, quality ingredients: fresh eggs, flour, cream, milk, sugar, and butter. The freshness of the eggs used for the custard is especially important, in order to make a delicious and light cream that melts in your mouth. Original Bled cream cakes are freshly prepared every day, without any industrial formula. Tasting the Original Bled cream cake is a very unique experience. First, you crack the crisp top crust with your fork, and then scoop all four layers together. Oh, the deliciousness! Combined with the most beautiful view of famous Bled sights – Lake Bled, the island, and the castle – it creates a moment of perfect pleasure.

More than just desserts

At Café Park, we are dedicated first and foremost to pastry, so we will not adhere to the norm, instead presenting first that which usually comes last in a meal: desserts. In addition to the Original Bled cream cake, which only our pastry chefs make to the original recipe, we offer modern cake creations and homemade ice cream made with fresh ingredients. While enjoying the most beautiful view of the Bled landscape, you can also browse our wine list and treat yourself to the Bled Local Selection platter, which features first-rate local products such as homemade Gorenjska dried meats, homemade cheeses, and pickled vegetables. Would you prefer a small salad or something hot? We offer these as well. And we would not be surprised if your main course at our café is a dessert!

In addition to the cream cake – the most traditional Bled dessert – we offer a diverse range cakes with flavours that you will not find elsewhere, excellent pies and enticing cakes made using raw, uncooked ingredients! You can also order them to go.

Ice cream

Ice cream always hits the spot! There are sixteen flavours to choose from, including unique combinations such as gianduja chocolate with hazelnuts and waffles, Sorrento walnut with orange, and more. We also offer lactose-free ice cream and LCHF ice cream.

Delicious hot dishes for all tastes

We offer a variety of pasta with freshly made sauces, from classic spaghetti bolognese to ravioli stuffed with five cheeses. Meat lovers are sure to enjoy the slow-roasted pork ribs and the ever-popular Wiener schnitzel, while those who prefer a hearty stew can choose from a selection of invigorating soups with a local twist, including homemade beef soup and goulash soup with drop noodles.

Burgers, fresh salads, and other treats

Treat yourself to the gourmet Chef’s burger with local Bled cheese, or a vegan lentil burger with delicious fries. How about a fresh Caesar salad with chicken, spring rolls with roasted vegetables, plant-based meat with soy sauce, or a wholegrain ciabatta sandwich full of goodies?
