Family vacations in Bled are always fun and exciting. The youngest visitors will be kept entertained by Zaki the Swan, the playful house mascot of the family-friendly Hotel Savica. Together you will hunt for the Bled treasure, discover the flavours of Slovenia or become genuine little scientists. During the holidays children's playground is open every day.

The most beautiful gifts from Bled

  • Original Bled cream cake
The original Bled cream cake is typical of Bled and a symbol of Bled cuisine. It was created at the restaurant of the Hotel Park in 1953. The Park Café has been making it according to the original recipe ever since. You can get your original Bled cream cake to go at the Park Café – or on-the-go at the drive-in kiosk.
  • Bled for the day – Come to Bled
Treat yourself to a family or romantic day off at Bled. • Chocolate Bled wishing bell
The Bled chocolate bell was created based on the sunken bell legend.

The legend says that a young widow lived on Bled Island in the 16th century, whose husband was killed and his body thrown into the lake. The widow gathered all her silver and gold and had it cast into a bell for the chapel on the island. A ferocious storm sunk the bell. To this day, it can sometimes be heard ringing deep in the lake on a clear night. If you make a wish and ring the bell on the island, your wish will come true.
