Strunjan Cliff

Strunjan Cliff

The most characteristic feature of the Strunjan Nature Park is the 80-metre-high Strunjan Cliff which, together with the overgrown edge and the 200-metre strip of sea below it, has been declared a nature reserve. The precipitous walls and the pebble beach at the foot of the cliff are completely untouched, and are moulded only by the natural processes whereby the sea, rain, and wind constantly transform the crumbling layers of rock, drawing new features upon them.                            Photo: ©Ubald Trnkoczy
