Important achievements

2023

• At the Meeting Star 2022 Awards for the best meeting destinations, hotels and influential meeting professionals. Hotel Livada Prestige in Terme 3000 was placed in the Spa Meeting Hotels category of the Meeting Star 2022 Awards and was awarded the Meeting Star 2022/2023 Gold Certificate with a score of 4.74. Mojca Gobina Mravlje, head of the meetings department on the coast in the sales division of Sava Hotels & Resorts, was also listed in the Most Influential People of New Europe selection with a total score of 4.43.
• We are proud that our Julijana Restaurant, which can be found in the Grand Hotel Toplice, has once again been awarded three toques by Gault & Millau for 2023.
• At the International Tourism Fair in Banja Luka, which is a meeting point for tourism agencies, providers, associations and other organisations from the field of tourism in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia and Serbia, Sava Hotels & Resorts was the only hotel operator to receive an award for quality in tourism.

2022

• In November our Hotel Savica Garni in Bled received the KAYAK Travel Award for Best Hotel Slovenia, which is awarded by the users of one of the largest American platforms for online booking of tourist services such as airline tickets, accommodation and rent-a-car. The KAYAK brand brings together seven different international companies operating in the field of tourism and travel, and has more than a thousand employees.
• Visitors to the Avtokampi portal ranked our Camping Bled second in the best large campsites in Slovenia and Croatia category. Avtokampi.si is a portal that brings together camping and active holiday enthusiasts. It is visited by more than 2,000,000 users a year, who get all the information they need about the campsites in the region and their offer in one place.
• On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the Reviderm brand, the Valens Augusta Medico-Wellness Centre in Terme Ptuj won the prestigious “Fastest Growing Wellness Centre in Reviderm Sales” award, which attests to the extensive experience of our experts.
• In September, two of our hotels, Hotel Park and the Rikli Balance Hotel in Bled, became proud recipients of the Bled Local Selection certificate in the accommodation category. The Bled Local Selection project that started in 2018 has grown to include 43 service providers and 190 products in various categories. The project evaluates registered food products, dishes served in gastronomic establishments, and handicraft products, with experiences and accommodation being added to the portfolio this year. The main goal of the project is to offer farmers and artisans an additional opportunity to earn money, thereby helping to keep the fields cultivated, the artisans at work, and the residents able to continue their lives here. Knowledge is passed down from generation to generation, professions die out more slowly, and thanks to the Bled Local Selection certificate, the consumers, both locals and tourists, can be sure that they are buying a quality product that is the result of work and knowledge native to Bled.
• The Julijana Restaurant located in Grand Hotel Toplice has just received an award from the most prestigious gastronomic guide, Michelin, for the third year in a row. After receiving the Michelin Plate awards in 2020 and 2021, we were very happy this year to receive the equivalent “Recommended by Michelin Guide Slovenia 2022” title, which has since replaced The Michelin Plate award.
• We are proud that the Rikli Balance Hotel has been awarded the Green Key international sustainability symbol and certificate. The Green Key is a leading standard of excellence in environmental responsibility and sustainable operation. It represents our commitment to following the strict criteria set by the international Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE).
• Camping Bled received the prestigious ACSI award (the Dutch company is a leading European camping expert who has been publishing well-known green guides to European campsites with important camping information since 1965 and runs the most visited camping site in Europe) for the best Slovenian campsite of the year 2022 The idyllic campsite on the shores of Lake Bled received more than 51,000 votes from the Dutch and they are understandably very proud of their award.
• In June, our recently renovated Hotel Park, located on the shores of Lake Bled, received the KAYAK Travel Award for Best Hotel Slovenia, which is awarded by the users of one of the largest American platforms for online booking of tourist services such as airline tickets, accommodation and rent-a-car. • Based on the Green Key international sustainability label and certificate, in November the Hotel Livada Prestige in Terme 3000 – Moravske Toplice, Hotel Radin in Zdravilišče Radenci and Grand Hotel Primus in Terme Ptuj also received the Slovenia Green Accommodation label, which is part of the Green Scheme of Slovenian Tourism.
• In the Best Water Park competition, water park visitors and listeners of Radio Slovenia have been choosing the most popular water parks in Slovenia for the thirty-second consecutive year. We are proud to say than in the large thermal water parks category, the Terme 3000 thermal water park again came in second, while Zdravilišče Radenci came in third in the small thermal parks category.
• Sava Hotels & Resorts received a special jury award in the category of spa industry innovations at the recent 26th Congress of the European Spas Association (ESPA) in Slovakia, for the introduction of digital service assistants in the offer of Terme 3000 – Moravske Toplice.
• In August, three more of our hotels received the international Green Key sustainability certificate. These are the Hotel Livada Prestige at Terme 3000 - Moravske Toplice, Grand Hotel Primus at Terme Ptuj, and Hotel Radin at Zdravilišče Radenci. The Green Key is a leading standard of excellence in environmental responsibility and sustainable operation. It represents our commitment to following the strict criteria set by the international Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE).
• At the 12th iteration of the Prekmurje gibanica and ham festival in Murska Sobota, the artisan confectioners of Terme 3000 - Moravske Toplice earned a gold award for their traditional gibanica layer cake for the second year in a row.
• Our Hotel Livada Prestige in Terme 3000 – Moravske Toplice was ranked among the best in the category of SPA meeting hotels and in February was awarded a quality certificate by Congress Star. Hotel Livada Prestige earned a final rating of 4.74 in the SPA category. The awarded certificate is a recognition of excellent work in the field and proof of the quality of our congress product.
• On the 28th annual tender for the Blue Flag, which has the goal of increasing environmental awareness at bathing areas, (co)creating environmental ethics and promoting environmentally responsible behaviour, as many as five of our natural bathing sites have earned the Blue Flag award. Namely: the Salinera Strunjan bathing site (15th Blue Flag award), the Grand Hotel Bernardin beach (10th Blue Flag award), the Hotel Vile Park beach (10th Blue Flag award), the Camp Lucija bathing site (9th Blue Flag) and Simon’s Bay Izola bathing site (22nd Blue flag award).

2021

• We are proud that the Hotel Park and Park Café have been awarded the Green Key international sustainability symbol and certificate. The Green Key is a leading standard of excellence in environmental responsibility and sustainable operation. It represents our commitment to following the strict criteria set by the international Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE). Based on this certificate, we also received the Slovenia Green Accommodation symbol as part of the Slovenia Green scheme.
• Since the autumn of 2021, the recently refurbished Hotel Histrion has been a proud holder of the Green Key international sustainability symbol and certificate. Guests staying in a Green Key-certified facility can rest assured that they are making a direct contribution to protecting the environment, as facilities boasting this certificate maintain very high environmental standards.
• Park Café in Bled, the home of the famous original Bled cream cake, made its way into the new edition of the Gault&Millau guide for 2021, under the POP category.
• In the Best Water Park competition, water park visitors and listeners of Radio Slovenia have been choosing the most popular water parks in Slovenia for the 31st consecutive year. We are proud to say that in the large thermal water parks category, the Terme 3000 thermal water park came second once again.
• On the basis of the international Green Key sustainability label and certification, Park Café also received the Slovenia Green Cuisine label in the context of the Green Scheme of Slovenian Tourism. We also signed the Commitment to Sustainable Gastronomy in Slovenia, which consists of seven sustainability principles. The foundations of this Commitment are Slovenian food specialties and authentic and seasonal dishes of a local character, bringing forth the importance of short supply chains featuring local high-quality food suppliers.
• At the 11th Festival of Prekmurje Ham and Gibanica, which was organised in Murska Sobota under the auspices of the Scent of Prekmurje project, the gibanica (layer cake) from Terme 3000 – Moravske Toplice was awarded the golden award.
• After previously receiving 3 Gault&Millau toques and the Michelin Plate 2020 award, the Julijana Restaurant at the Grand Hotel Toplice, with its amazing terrace overlooking the most beautiful part of Lake Bled, is proud of receiving a new prestigious award. Michelin’s team have awarded it the Michelin Plate for fresh ingredients, carefully prepared, and a good meal.
• During the Days of Slovenian Tourism 2021, which were held in Postojna, awards were given to the winners of the 30th My Country – Beautiful and Hospitable campaign, which was organised under the honorary patronage of the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor. Camping Bled received two awards, i.e. the award for the Best Campsite as chosen by the Tourist Association of Slovenia, and for the Best Campsite as chosen by the public.

2020

• We are proud of the fact that our Grand Hotel Toplice in Bled received the prestigious Meetings Star 2019 certificate at the 12th Conventa Trade Show in Ljubljana, placing it among the best congress hotels in the region. In the M Meetings Destinations category, Bled came third, after Dubrovnik and Saalfelden Leogang. The average grade by experts who visited Grand Hotel Toplice and experienced its offer was 4.47.
• The Best Water Park competition, in which water park visitors and listeners of Radio Slovenia have been choosing the most popular water parks in Slovenia in six categories for the thirtieth consecutive year, the Terme 3000 Thermal Park again won a prestigious award. The Thermal Park won second place in the large thermal water parks category.
• At the 67th Slovenian Hospitality and Tourism Assembly (GTZ), Sava Hotels & Resorts received numerous awards and recognition, including:
• Terme 3000 – Moravske Toplice received the 2021 Quality Label, Local Gastronomy in Hotels,
• The Julijana Restaurant in Grand Hotel Toplice, with its amazing terrace overlooking the most beautiful part of Lake Bled, can boast of holding a new prestigious award. Michelin’s team have awarded it the Michelin Plate for fresh ingredients, carefully prepared, and a good meal for 2020.
• In the 2020 season, campers chose Camping Bled as the Best Camp of 2020 in the large camps category. The guests loved that it was well-maintained, has modern toilet and bathing facilities, and its location in the immediate vicinity of Lake Bled. The Best Camp competition is organised with the support of Adria Dom, the largest manufacturer of mobile homes and glamping tents in the region.
• Recognition for the refurbishment of Hotel Park (Sava Hoteli Bled) and the refurbishment of Hotel Histrion (St. Bernardin Resort Portorož)
• Recognition for exceptional contribution to the development of Slovenian tourism (for her contribution to the development of the tourism offer in Slovenia, the enrichment of the Slovenian tourism offer with sustainable products with a local touch and high added value, which ensure a high-quality experience for the guests and effectively communicate the story of Slovenia, its characteristics, and experiences) was conferred to Renata Balažic, member of the Management Board, Sava Turizem d.d.

2019

• At the 17th Ecology Fair – EKOBIS, the USK Chamber of Commerce awarded us the plaque for the Best Corporate Group.
• We received several awards at the Days of Slovenian Tourism 2019 event. For our refurbished Health Lounge in Zdravilišče Radenci, the new Rikli Relaxation Park, and the refurbished Park Café in Bled, we received high recognition for investments, diversity of the offer and increased quality of services, and for the shaping of innovative tourism products.
• The all-Slovenian My Country – Beautiful and Hospitable campaign, which is organised by the Tourist Association of Slovenian (TZS), ended at the Days of Slovenian Tourism event with a presentation of the awards and recognitions, and Campaign Bled came second in the camps category.
• In 2019, our water parks were again among the best in the Best Water Park 2019 competition. In the category of small thermal water parks, Zdravilišče Radenci came first and Terme 3000 – Moravske Toplice came second in the large thermal water parks category.
• Our Julijana Restaurant in Grand Hotel Toplice again received three toques under the Gault Millau classification.

2018

• At the Vakantiebeurs tourism fair in Utrecht, Camping Bled came second in the country campsites category. The award is conferred by the Caravan Club and Alan Rogers, the largest camping associations in Great Britain and the Benelux, which also publish their own camping guide.
• At the Days of Slovenian Tourism event, our refurbished Rikli Balance Hotel (Sava Hoteli Bled) and the refurbished indoor thermal pool complex with the Prekmurje Bridge in Terme 3000 – Moravske Toplice, received high recognition for investments, diversity of the offer and increased quality of services, and for the shaping of innovative tourism products.
• At the Caravana fair in Leeuwarden in the Netherlands, Camping Bled received the Camping Experience of the Year 2018 – Nature award. The award is conferred by Campingnavigator, a leading camping & caravanning publisher in the Dutch market.
• At the Best Water Park 2018 competition, Terme 3000 – Moravske Toplice again came first in the category of large thermal water parks. This success was complemented by Terme Ptuj coming third in the same category, and Zdravilišče Radenci, which won in the small thermal parks category. The best water parks are chosen by listeners of Radio Slovenia, visiting Slovenian water parks throughout the summer and choosing the best, the most well-maintained, and the most visitor-friendly water parks in Slovenia.

2017

• Readers Digest readers chose Terme 3000 – Moravske Toplice as the Most Trusted Brand in the Slovenian thermal spas and health resorts category for the year 2017.
• The SoolNua World ICECREAM Index, organised by the Irish SoolNua marketing agency, declared Bled as the best ice cream destination in the world. The winning taste, Sladogled, Ice Cream with a View, was prepared by the confectioners at the Hotel Park.
• The a la carte Prestige restaurant in Hotel Livada Prestige in Terme 3000 – Moravske Toplice received the Slovenian Restaurant Recommended / Dinners by Trip Advisor award.

2016

• Terme 3000 – Moravske Toplice Water Park came second in the large thermal water parks category. The Best Water Park competition was organised by the TV show Dobro jutro of the national broadcaster RTV Slovenia.
• Terme 3000 – Moravske Toplice was awarded the Trusted Brand title, voted by its guests.
• Sava Turizem d.d. was awarded the Respected Employer 2016 title, bestowed by Styria digital marketplaces, d.o.o. and Mojedelo.com.
• Zdravilišče Radenci received the AACI certificate for achieving international standards of excellence and safety of patients, which was awarded by AACI Healthcare.
• The Original Bled Cream Cake ice cream prepared by Sava Hoteli Bled was awarded the title of the third best in the world by the World Ice Cream Index 2016.
