Day 1

Straža Adventure Park

If you and your family like adventures, visit the new adventure park on Straža hill. Built without interfering with local nature, it offers 65 eco-conscious adventures. It’s suitable for children and adults alike. An adventure face-to-face with the highest treetops will be accompanied by screams of fear, relief and excitement!

Bathing in Lake Bled

Lake Bled is ideal for summer refreshment on its designated beaches. The most family-friendly beaches are Velika Zaka, located in a bay on the northern shore of the lake, and the natural castle bathing area, located in the shelter of the castle rock below Bled Castle. It features two waterslides, a springboard, fenced-off pools and a children's playground.

Day 2

A visit to the Bled Vintgar Gorge

In the summer months, the whole family will delight in a refreshing escape at the Bled Vintgar Gorge! The path to the Vintgar Gorge takes us along Lake Bled, through the villages of Spodnje Gorje and Podhom, all the way to the entrance of this picturesque Alpine gorge. What follows is a half-hour walk through the 1,600-metre-long gorge carved out by the emerald-green Radovna mountain river. The path through the gorge leads over wooden bridges, from which you can observe the waterfalls, rapids and pools created by the river along its path. The well-maintained path through the gorge ends with a bridge over the mighty nearly 15-metre high Šum waterfall. In summer, we recommend visiting during the week to avoid the crowds.

Goldhorn trail

The new thematic route with six stops on the way around Lake Bled presents the cultural and natural attractions of the area, and highlights the importance of protecting the environment for future generations. Through a fun game and with a bit of imagination, children and parents will get to know the beauty of Bled, its cultural and natural attractions, and relive one of the most famous fairy tales. By solving their tasks, the children will defeat the lake monster.

A picnic for families with a mystery basket

After feeding the swans and ducklings, treat your family to a delightful lakeside picnic with a mystery basket, thoughtfully prepared for you by the hotel. It's filled with various snacks and sweet surprises for a perfect family picnic with unforgettable views of the beauty of Bled.

Day 3

A family cycling trip in the Radovna valley

This easy trail through the idyllic Radovna Valley leads from the village of Krnica to one of the oldest surviving buildings in the Triglav National Park, the Pocar farm and museum. We recommend taking a look at the 500-year-old Gogala linden tree and the Napoleon stone from the Illyrian Provinces period, and stopping at the Lipnik Karst spring for a refreshing dip in the Kreda (Chalk) Lake, which accumulated in a pit where they used to mine some of the best chalk in Europe. A small tip – to make the initial ascent a bit easier, we recommend renting electric bicycles at the Park Hotel reception.

Ice cream and Bled cream cake at the Park Café

After a pleasant cycling trip, you can enjoy some refreshment in our Park Café, where children can choose from more than 18 flavours of homemade ice cream, while parents can indulge in a slice of the original Bled cream cake, which we have been making at the Park Café for 66 years!

Relaxation at the pool of the Hotel Park

At the end of an active day, nothing will relax you more than dipping your sore muscles in the thermal water of the pool at the Hotel Park. Enjoy a swim in a pool of natural water with a temperature of 33°C that’ll soothe you, relax your muscles, and warm you up. After your swimming session, lose yourself in the panoramic views of Lake Bled that’ll take your breath away while you relax on a comfortable wooden bench. A further embrace of nature awaits you on the outdoor terrace, where you can enjoy the fresh Alpine air and get to feel Bled with all your senses.

Day 1

Boat rental and rowing to the island

Take a rowing boat and enjoy a private picnic right in the middle of beautiful Lake Bled. You can also row to the island and enjoy the breathtaking views. Discover Lake Bled on your own terms by SUP and enjoy all the benefits of water activities. You can find information on boat and SUP rental at the Hotel Park reception.

Cycling through the villages around Bled

Cool and refreshed after your water adventures, hop on bikes available for rent at the Hotel Park reception and cycle from Bled towards Koritno, through Bodešče, on to Ribno and Selo (where you can also visit local beekeepers), then through Mlino and back to Lake Bled. Along the lake and below Vila Bled, the path will lead you to Mala Zaka. After that, you ascend towards Rečica and take the bicycle path along the north ring road to return to the centre of Bled.

Pampering at the Spa Park in Hotel Park

End your day with something special and treat yourself to a relaxing time at the Spa Park Wellness Centre, located on the top floor of the recently renovated Park Hotel, offering the most beautiful views of the unique beauty of Bled. Besides the thermal pool with a panoramic view of the lake, you can also indulge in various rituals and massages that intertwine the stories of water and forest – two elements deeply connected to Bled and its surroundings. Day 2

Ribno and the Sava Bohinjka River

Start your day with a pleasant bike ride, followed by a refreshing hike where you can cool off in the Sava Bohinjka River along the way. Cycle to the village of Ribno, then walk up to Talež on Ribenska Gora, passing by Ribenski Bajer pond to the Sava River, where you can dip your feet or take a full, refreshing swim. From here, your route can continue towards the villages of Selo and Mlino.

For those seeking relaxation, we suggest a visit to Rikli's Relaxation Park nearby the Rikli Balance Hotel, where you’ll find a place to focus on yourself and gather new strength. You can relieve your stress on Rikli's barefoot trail, and escape your daily worries by retreating into nature, where you can embrace a tree and restore your well-being. There’s also the option of practicing yoga in the beautiful environment of the park, which is sure to calm your thoughts and relax your body.

Day 3

Iglica waterfall – Bohinjska Bela

Did you know that just a stone’s throw from Bled hides the beautiful Iglica waterfall? Getting to it is quite easy! Follow the path along the lake past the village of Mlino, Vila Bled, and Pristava to the village of Bohinjska Bela. From there, a signpost will guide you to the base of the waterfall. You can climb wooden ladders up above the 24-metre-high waterfall, where a stunning view of the surroundings awaits.

Fiacre coaches

Lake Bled and the beauty that surrounds it can be viewed in several different ways. One of them is taking a traditional horse-drawn carriage called a fiacre, which will take you for a ride around the lake or sight-seeing in the surrounding area! The fiacre represents one of the many customs that has been passed on from one generation to the next, with fiacre drivers being easily distinguishable by their traditional livery.

A glass of fine wine and a romantic dinner at the Park Café

While enjoying the most magnificent view of the Bled scenery, you can explore the wine list and order one of our many warm or cold specialities. It is of course no secret that our main passion is desserts. Besides the one and only original Bled cream cake, you can choose to end your meal with any one of our delicious cakes and ice creams, all made in-house from fresh ingredients.

3-DAY GETAWAY TO BLED FOR ACTIVE HOLIDAY-GOERS

Day 1

Conquer Mala Osojnica and Velika Osojnica

For a slightly longer climb, the trail over Mala Osojnica to Velika Osojnica is an excellent choice. Reaching the Mala Osojnica, at 685 metres, takes about 45 minutes along a steep forest path, followed by another 20 minutes to the 756-metre-high Velika Osojnica. You’ll be rewarded with the most breathtaking views of Lake Bled and its surroundings, the Karawank mountain range, the Kamnik-Savinja Alps, and the Ljubljana basin. You might even recognise the panorama from some of the most famous scenic shots of Bled.

Canyoning for everyone!

Take the plunge into the source of an Alpine river and discover the most secret and remote corners. A truly special experience is to wander alongside the river – thrilling, sporty, yet safe and suitable for all. Let nature’s creations inspire you!

Alpine rituals with the touch of water and the scent of the forest

After an active day, give your body some rest and enjoy treatments at the Spa Park Wellness Centre in Hotel Park. These include authentic, beneficial ingredients and features from Bled and its surroundings, blending the wisdom and purity of Alpine nature with the therapeutic properties of natural products from the forest, water, and plants. At the end of each ritual, you’ll be surprised with a natural drink that will refresh you even further.

Day 2

A bicycle trip along the trail of famous Slovenian beekeepers

Taking the electric bicycles that you can rent at the Hotel Park reception, you’ll start from the centre of Bled, ride along the lake and on to the village of Mlino, continuing past other scattered villages with interesting cultural sights and many old farms that are still active today. Riding the easy local trails along the Sava Bohinjka, you can enjoy beautiful nature all the way to Radovljica, where you can visit the Beekeeping Museum presenting the life and work of the indigenous Carniolan honey bee and the phenomenon of the painted beehive panels. On the return leg, make a stop in the village of Selo to visit the educational apiary and enjoy a tasting of products from local beekeepers. The entire trip goes at an easy and relaxed pace, and takes about three hours.

Experience the Dolinka ziplines

Do you like the feeling of flying? Then you absolutely must try the Dolinka ziplines! Experienced guides will take you through the Sava Dolinka Valley, a Natura 2000 area, protected as a natural monument due to its exceptional natural properties. You’ll cross the valley above the river on seven different ziplines measuring between 325 and 700 m, with a total length of 4 km.

A holiday is an ideal opportunity to try something new. Maybe experience the beauty of Bled on the back of a noble animal like a horse? Bled and its surroundings offer horse lovers and riders many opportunities for adventure all year round. Horses, as well as riding instructors, are available to Bled tourists by prior agreement. Day 3

Rafting for adrenaline enthusiasts

Craving a little adrenaline? We suggest rafting, a fun, active and a social descent down the Sava or Sava Dolinka! Rafting on the Sava Dolinka takes place by boat and goes past the Šobec campsite, the confluence of the Sava Bohinjka and Sava Dolinka, and on to Fux’s footbridge. You can complete the adventure with a jump into the Sava River. Rafting on the Sava River is a more relaxed descent down the river and is therefore also ideal for families and groups of children. It starts below Radovljica and ends at Posavec. The activity lasts about three hours.

A hiking trip to Galetovec for the best views of Lake Bled

You start the hike at the Rot Inn in the village of Bohinjska Bela. A physically undemanding marked path will lead you over the Belca stream and along an asphalt road through the village, and immediately after the railway underpass, take the road to the right, and after a 15-minute walk you’ll reach the first houses of the hamlet of Slamniki. You then continue your journey uphill along the cart path. A signpost then directs you to the left where you continue up the steep path to reach the road to Belska planina. Then you follow this cart path, turn left at the junction, and follow the markings towards the top. The entire hike takes about two and a half hours.

Enjoy the view of Bled from the air

Have you ever seen the world from a bird's eye view? Climb up among the clouds and fly over Bled! Panoramic hot air balloon flights over Bled and the surrounding area offer a unique experience. The flight is tranquil, with the direction depending on the wind. Before the flight, guests can see the preparation of the hot air balloon. Are you ready for this unique experience?
