Gastronomy in Terme 3000

While each Slovenian region has its culinary stars, Prekmurje is the one that stands out. In this land of rich culinary tradition, Terme 3000 offers traditional delicacies such as “gibanica” layer cake, “bograč” stew, “retaši” strudel, “zlevanka” cake, “bujta repa” pickled turnip stew, sausages, traditional cakes and more. At our hotels, your taste buds will be pampered by two Prekmurje chefs with over 50 local recipes and fresh, seasonal, local ingredients. 

Prekmurje – a region of culinary superlatives

Thanks to its outstanding and varied gastronomy services, it was awarded the title of the 2021 European Region of Gastronomy in 2018. Traditional Prekmurje dishes

Bringing together the flavours of Prekmurje and Prlekija, Pomurje gastronomy reflects the spirit of the landscape. The strong, cleverly combined flavours and aromas will astonish you with their richness. “Tünka” meat (meat preserved in lard), “pajani krüj z zaseko” (toasted bread with minced lard), “dödöli” (potato groats), “retaši” (strudel) and “bujta repa” (pickled turnip stew) are just some of the dishes not to be missed during your stay in Prekmurje.
The Kodila Ham House
On the first day of your stay, there is an organised visit to the Kodila Ham House, where you can enjoy a tasting of ham and other premium delicacies from Prekmurje. They will also be happy to show you the thatched roof spaces where the Prekmurje hams are matured. 
The Rajh Restaurant
Your culinary journey will continue with a 4-course menu at the Rajh Restaurant, one of Prekmurje’s best restaurants with innovative dishes inspired by the rich culinary heritage of this region.
