Cyclist-friendly hotels

There is nothing more beautiful than enjoying the beauties of nature from a bike, with wind in your hair and the sound of the wheels gliding down the undiscovered paths. Hotel Termal in Terme 3000 – Moravske Toplice, Hotel Radin in Zdravilišče Radenci, Hotel Histrion in St. Bernardin Resort in Portorož, and Hotel Salinera in Salinera Resort in Strunjan offer great starting points for all cycling enthusiasts. These hotels also hold the “cyclist-friendly hotel” certificate. So what does this mean? This means that you can store your bike there safely, wash it, and if necessary, even service it. You can also rent bicycles at the hotels, and get some cyclist-friendly refreshments after the tour to fill you with energy for your next cycling adventure!

Hiker-friendly hotels

You don’t need much to discover the surroundings! Just an abundance of good spirit and comfortable shoes, and you’re ready to go. Our hiker-friendly hotels are Hotel Termal in Terme 3000 – Moravske Toplice and Hotel Radin in Zdravilišče Radenci. Ask for a map of the hiking trails at the reception desk, and when you return to the hotel, relax your muscles in the thermal water and get some healthy refreshments from the hotel restaurants.

Terme 3000 and Sava Hoteli Bled – proud partners of the Slovenia – European Region of Gastronomy 2021 project

In 2021, when Slovenia is the proud holder of the title of European Region of Gastronomy 2021, Terme 3000 and Sava Hoteli Bled are among the partners and associate members whose projects, programmes and events help to shape the story of gastronomy. The Slovenia – European Region of Gastronomy 2021 project focuses on enhancing the quality of life. It encompasses opportunities for education in healthy and sustainable living, and the sustainable development of gastronomy. It enhances the national promotion of cuisine and gastronomy, and creates synergies with local environments and cultures.

More than 50 dishes from Prekmurje and local suppliers

At Terme 3000, we are proud to offer our guests more than 50 dishes from Prekmurje, which are prepared following the recipes of our grandmothers, and more than 40 different dishes that contain buckwheat, a grain that strongly characterises the landscape of Prekmurje. We order a vast array of dairy products from local suppliers, including a variety of cheeses, yoghurts and buttermilk. Baking products are also locally prepared and served to guests, including vrtanek (plaited bread) and bread from the bread oven, onion bread, bread rolls, and flat cake with cracklings. Potatoes, onions, garlic, and carrots come from the local farms,as does the pumpkin seed oil, an indispensable part of Prekmurje.

Fresh and local ingredients, authentic flavours and traditional preparation

At Sava Hoteli Bled, we swear by ingredients that are sourced on the day they are used. We prepare all our sauces ourselves, and the hotel kitchens make the best jams and homemade ice cream. An important element of all this is the high-quality produce from local suppliers, from fresh local vegetables and dairy products, to prime trout from the local fish farmer. All our bars and restaurants offer authentic flavours that can only be created from local ingredients and with traditional preparation! Our Julijana Restaurant at the Grand Hotel Toplice even boasts the Bled Local Selection certificate, which is awarded to what has always lived and evolved in Bled and its surroundings, in the local people, in the soil, water and air. We received the certificate for our 4-course menu, in which the jury recognised quality, authenticity, and an innovative connection with the local environment.
