%e. %417 %2012Skupina Sava Hotels & Resorts has become the largest tourism service provider in Slovenia with its commitment to offer top tourist services and, in so doing, it has outstripped the expectations of the guests.
In its group, it includes five companies working in six prominent tourist destinations in Slovenia: Bled, Ptuj, Moravske toplice, Radenci, Banovci and Lendava. They build their success on the creation of attractive wellness and spa tourism, congresses and meetings, golfing tourism, family vacations and camping.
The Group encompasses 14 hotels of the 3-, 4- and 5-star category, 6 apartment complexes, 5 campsites offering the guests an opportunity to relax in 5 thermal complexes, 4 wellness centres and two golf courses. The comfort and pleasure of the guests is ensured by 1270 staff members (at the end of 2009).
The group Sava Hotels & Resorts annual revenue is EUR69 million (data for 2008). A good 301,000 guests spend nights in more than 3900 tourist beds (data for 2009) generating more than 1.1 million overnight stays (data for 2009). The thermal parks, covering a good 15.000m2 of water surfaces, are annually visited by 1.5 million bathers (data for 2009).
The management of the key support processes of the Sava Hotels & Resorts is performed by the Sava TMC, d. o. o. holding company based in Kranj. Its role and responsibility being marketing, research into new products, purchases, investment management, setting common standards of operations and quality assurance. Lead by Ms. Antonija Pirc, who is also heading the entire Sava Hotels & Resorts.
Most Important Accomplishments in 2009
- Hotel Izvir: After a complete renewal, the Zdravilišče Radenci company has reopened the oldest hotel for rehabilitation of heart and vascular diseases in Slovenia, the Izvir Hotel (formerly the Terapija Hotel). This 3-star hotel with 69 rooms is aimed towards guests visiting for the medical treatment of heart and vascular diseases, as well as all those who are aware of the importance of a healthy lifestyle.
- Small Luxury Hotels of the World: The 5-star Grand Hotel Toplice in Bled is the first hotel in Slovenia to become a member of the prestigious international hotel association - Small Luxury Hotels of the World.
- Golf World Top 100 list: The renowned British professional magazine Golf World has listed the Bled golf course at place 54 of the top 100 golf courses in continental Europe. With this, the 18-hole King’s course has improved its placement by 20 spots from its previous one in 2003.
