The water at Terme Ptuj has been classified as sodium hydrogencarbonate, mildly alkaline, low mineral naturally thermal water. Two springs (bores) with a depth of 1050 m provide water with a temperature of 39 °C at a steady flow of 7 litres per second.
The thermal water is particularly beneficial in the treatment and rehabilitation of rheumatic and degenerative diseases, injuries of the musculoskeletal system, neurological disorders, chronic fatigue syndrome and for recreational purposes.
