It is known for its many hazards, especially the water hazards near most holes, ensuring that a good result is not achieved by strength, but by precision. Hole no. 14 is especially memorable: par 3 involves getting the ball onto an island.
While the course is only moderately demanding, considerable effort is required for players to achieve a good result from the pro teeing grounds. The configuration of the course also makes it suitable for amateur players, because it doesn't require a particularly high level of physical condition. Players are therefore free to focus on the game and the rich and varied animal and plant life on the course. The numerous birds deserve special attention: there are signs with descriptions of various birds on each teeing ground.
